Sixport Common, Inc. grew out of different avenues Shew pursued during her early radio career – thus following all things creative flourished this medium. Shew, a resident of Long Beach, California relocated northwest to fulfill a passion of immersion in independent alternative rock music. In 1999, she began a two year indie radio show – “Noise!” created, promoted, recorded, produced, and hosted. She successfully branded, developed and operated a full power rock/alt radio station with 21 LPFMs coast to coast. During her tenure, she was the radio network station manager, promotions and marketing, production, air talent and worked with media buyers and interns! Her branded campaigns are legacy and currently in rotation.
Yet, organizing chaos posed different opportunities to move on and a sole music focus was shared into developing skills in operations for technology and speciality corporations. After years of individual music projects, consulting for radio stations, or tour promotion direction, Shew finally incorporated these Project Mayflower ideas into one common. As always, stay tuned.

/>. When do I contemplate new projects?
+ @12am – 2am after everyone falls asleep and post yoga or dog walking – it’s actually a quiet functioning hour, but not a good idea according to the history on my iPhone “bedtime” feature.
+ Nine+ hours of sleep also sparks arising ideas. I do have sleep procrastination too – that’s why Stumptown Coffee is so close to my heart!
+ A daily consumption of 15+ hours a week of “focus time” aka commuting on the 405 freeway – you didn’t see that coming?
+ Whilst fuming running around with any BOSE, means turning up the tunes turns into good vibrations and wavelengths.
